Program Specialist Support

NEW: Teacher Mentoring/Program Specialist
Add-On Fee/$10 hour  

  • Program Specialist fee for ARL Teacher or if no SPED Teacher is hired at the school
  • ARL:
  • Assist with portfolio set up
  • Additional observations
  • Letter of recommendation (if appropriate)
  • Additional coaching/modeling on classroom behavior management
  • No Special Ed Teacher para only:
  • Responsible for caseload, writing IEP’s and eligibility
  • Supervise and train Para-Educator

 

  • Classroom set up assistance
  • Set up system to document Para-Educator training and supervision
  • IEP fidelity & implementation, monitoring & coaching
  • Train & monitor files
  • Review files & identify any students who take the alternative DLM testing
  • Make sure IEP’s are copied & distributed to teachers who have SPED students in their classes.
  • Assist with SCRAM
  • Create a data collection system & progress monitoring
  • Calendar progress report distribution
  • Create a system to track requests & request files for new students
  • Train SPED teacher and Para’s on curriculum implementation
  • Create/update caseload spreadsheet
  • Continue to help copy & distribute IEP’s to teachers
  • Files organization
  • Monitor the tracker that is being used to request IEP’s
  • Observe Para-Educators
  • Observe SPED teacher & schedule for efficiency and implementation
  • SCRAM training & entry
  • Walk through a review of data for students with upcoming eligibility
  • Review new IEP’s being written & implemented for compliance feedback
  • Implement system for training & supervision for Para-Educators
  • Review inventory to determine if any additional curriculum or supplies are necessary
  • Progress report system
  • Attend an IEP & eligibility meeting for coaching and feedback
  • Support any other specific needs for the LEA
  • Calendar IEP & eligibility meetings for the remainder of the year
  • Observation sample of general education classes
  • Review ESY manual & implement a regression/recoupment system before extended breaks
  • Audit speech & related service providers files
  • Onsite support an coaching concerning behavior
  • Support LEA with RDA process
  • Schedule & attend steering committee meetings
  • Schedule time to assist with PIP
  • Email and phone support
  • High School only - Work with counselor to review transcripts for credits and review transition needs.
  • High school only - Set up transition website and train teachers on managing student information
  • High school only - Distribute exit forms for graduation
